As-salamu alaykum

enjoy a small write up of who i am, though i promise i’m more fun to get to know in real life over a coffee or matcha.

Umara is a producer with a creative lens, skilled at moving ideas from concept to execution without losing their soul.

Born and raised in the NJ/NYC area as a first-generation Pakistani, Umara grew up attending movie premieres and walking studio lots through her father’s business, gaining an early glimpse into the artistry and behind-the-scenes magic of storytelling. These moments sparked a lifelong fascination with the collaborative craft of production and the power of storytelling to connect people.

For Umara, producing is the essence of a village: every project requires the collective effort of many people, each contributing their unique skills to bring an idea to life.

From fast-paced :30 spots to longer-form campaigns that demand focus and nuance, Umara approaches every project with curiosity, care, and a commitment to seamless execution.

Known for bringing calm to complex productions and leading with intention, Umara believes the strongest work emerges when trust, creativity, and craft align—whether on set, in the edit, or during a brainstorm.

Outside of producing, Umara draws inspiration from culture, food, music, and TV/Film. These passions reflect a love for storytelling, rhythm, and flavors that shape both life and work.
